1.
go out and put a smile on your face drink a beer and dance or meditate gotta do things that make you feel good and move on with your life like you should I needed a hand, you gave me a sigh I'm sorry I said and started to cry you left without saying goodbye and now I don't know I don't know how
2.
We Got Lost 03:31
I thought you were a forest
 full of mystery
 with hidden tracks and rivers
waiting to be seen
I wanted to go deep
 and you let me
find my way and settle down
 in the calm breeze
I got lost, in the beauty I got lost, in the dream
I got lost in you but you are not a forest you’re what moves the sea you blossom on the open fields
untamable and free
 I tried to hold on
with both hands thought you needed safety
but that was me
you got lost in the beauty you got lost in my love you got lost with me
thank you for the dance it was a lovely dance

3.
meeting my baby out on the street it’s been a week the smell of his hair and the way he moves
 familiar but blue mhm
shoulder to shoulder one meter a part
our bodies
out of synch
mhm we walk and we walk try to walk things off talk in metaphors mhm

can you take your sunglasses off? I really wanna see your eyes
can we turn this distance off?
I really wanna say goodbye

surrounded by couples
dressed for restaurants
all eyes are on us mhm we’re walking in circles talking in circles and
staying there
cuz I don’t want to end this I didn’t think we’d end this
 way
can you take your sunglasses off?
I really wanna see your eyes can we turn this distance off?
I really wanna say goodbye lemon water cold cold showers melting hugs
all but trust

You don’t want to hurt me
you say you don’t want to hurt me

about

Ending is Siri Birks second EP from the upcoming album ‘Ways of Being’, and is a collection of 3 honest break-up songs.

'Ending' shows in a raw, venerable and direct way, how break up songs really are love songs, and describes the love that is, and has been, when you stand in the middle of it.

‘I’ve always been a skeptic regarding break-up songs. Somehow it’s too classic, and you run a high risk reproducing clichés. But when I found myself living and feeling a break-up period, it was a way for me to heal, and I found it interesting to describe the honesty and venerability that emerges in us in these moments. There’s something really beautiful there, and I see a lot of love, also when it hurts.’

When the society closed down in march 2020, Birk started recording her songs in her bedroom in Copenhagen. After recording, arranging and producing on her own, she decided to send the material to other musicians in a Europe in lock down. From here, the album developed into an online collaboration project, with musicians in London, Paris, Oslo and Copenhagen.

‘Ways of Being’ is a love declaration to the human condition, and a celebration of lifes journey through highs and lows, fuck ups and flows, pain and love, chaos and slow movements.
